Rice ball with cheese & pepperoni

Creating a rice ball with cheese and pepperoni can be a delicious and creative dish. Here's a simple recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

  • Cooked sushi rice (about 2 cups)
  • Nori sheets (seaweed)
  • Mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes or shredded
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Soy sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Rice: Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool slightly.

  2. Assembly Station: Set up a clean and dry surface for assembling the rice balls. Have a bowl of water nearby to dampen your hands to prevent the rice from sticking.

  3. Shape Rice Balls: Take a small handful of rice and shape it into a ball. Wet your hands slightly if the rice is too sticky. You can make the rice balls as big or as small as you prefer.

  4. Add Filling: Make an indentation in the center of the rice ball with your thumb. Place a cube of mozzarella and a slice of pepperoni in the indentation.

  5. Enclose Filling: Carefully enclose the filling by bringing the rice around it. Shape the rice ball back into a round shape.

  6. Wrap with Nori: Cut a strip of nori and wrap it around the rice ball to secure it. Nori will stick to itself when it's slightly moistened, so you can use a bit of water to help seal the edges.

  7. Repeat: Repeat the process for the remaining rice balls.

  8. Serve:

Your rice balls with cheese and pepperoni are ready to be served! You can enjoy them on their own or with a side of soy sauce for dipping.

Feel free to get creative with the ingredients. You can add other fillings like avocado, cucumber, or different types of cheese to suit your taste preferences.
