Ingredients:

For the Sliders:

  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider rolls

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:

1. Prepare the Sliders:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed, and sauté the sliced onion and bell pepper until softened.

2. Make the Cheese Sauce:

  1. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the flour to create a roux and cook for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk to avoid lumps. Continue to stir until the mixture thickens.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add the shredded provolone cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3. Assemble the Sliders:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  3. Layer the cooked ribeye steak over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  4. Spoon the sautéed onion and bell pepper mixture over the steak.
  5. Pour the warm cheese sauce evenly over the top.
  6. Place the remaining halves of the slider rolls on top to create sandwiches.

4. Bake and Serve:

  1. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese is gooey.
  2. Remove from the oven, cut into individual sliders, and serve hot.
